6. Alaskan Klee Kai

The Alaskan Klee Kai mirrors a miniature Siberian Husky and is a newer breed. Meaning "small dog," they’re more domesticated than Huskies. These lively dogs crave lots of activity, much like their larger kin. Developed in Alaska during the 1970s and 1980s as a companion-sized Husky, they come in toy, miniature, and standard sizes, standing 13 to 17 inches tall. Despite their smaller frame, they share Husky traits like facial masks and varied coat colors. Smart and vigilant, Alaskan Klee Kai make superb watchdogs. Shy with strangers, they form deep ties with family and thrive on mental and physical tasks like agility and puzzles.
